I have received a Minded to Bar letter, what does that mean?

A Minded to Bar letter lets you know that DBS has considered all the information on your case and we are considering placing your name in the Children's and/or Adults' Barred Lists.

The Minded to Bar letter explains how DBS has evaluated the referral and invites you to send any representations (reasons why you should not be placed on a list), which will be taken into account before a final decision is made.

For further information on how to respond to a MTB letter, please refer to the DBS website - DBS barring and referrals: making representations guidance.

For further information about letters from DBS and what to do next visit: Information for individuals that have been referred to DBS guidance.
