What is a protected conviction
What is a protected conviction?
A protected conviction is one which will be filtered off a Standard and an Enhanced DBS check where the offence is not a specified offence, did not result in a custodial sentence, and occurred over 11 years ago when they were an adult at the time (or 5.5 years ago if they were under 18 at the time).
There are certain offences which will never be protected and further details can be found on our website.
