How do I complain?

Forms should be e-mailed to:

If you are unable to access digital services, you can submit your complaint in writing to:

Please include your case reference number within any correspondence.
DBS acknowledges complaints within 3 working days of receipt and aim to issue a response within 7 working days. Where this is not possible, we will explain why and seek to agree a new timescale with the individual.
