If you have any safeguarding concerns about an individual, you should notify the police. You can also notify other relevant agencies, such as:

* your Local Authority Safeguarding team
* a person's employer
* the Teaching Regulation Agency
* the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
* or other relevant professional regulatory body

These agencies can consider the allegation, gather evidence, and if required make a referral to the DBS.
