Types of consent
There are different types of consent that can be granted they are:

- upfront consent - as part of your application for a basic DBS check application you can provide consent to a third party to view your completed basic DBS check once it has been issued.
- auto consent - granted by you after the basic DBS check has been issued, to enable a third party who has a DBS online account to view your online basic DBS result.
- standalone consent - granted by you after the basic DBS check has been issued, to enable a third party who does not have a DBS online account to view your basic DBS result.
