Auto consent
You can create consent for a third party to view your only basic DBS result once it has been issued.
To create auto consent you must have an individual DBS online account which is linked to your DBS profile. If your accounts are not linked an icon 'DBS authorisation code' will be displayed in the top left-hand corner of your screen.
Your DBS online account contains minimal personal information about you, but holds your security details required for logging in. Whilst your DBS profile contains your personal information and details of all your DBS products and services.
To create auto consent to a third party who also has a DBS online account you will need to:
You can remove auto consent at anytime once it has been created by logging onto your DBS online account.

- provide the email address the third party used to create their DBS online account
- select the basic DBS check that consent is required for and the length of time that it can be viewed (the result can be viewed multiple times within the period set)
